The Billboard Liberation Front today announced a major new advertising improvement campaign executed on behalf of clients AT&T and the National Security Agency. Focusing on billboards in the San Francisco area, this improvement action is designed to promote and celebrate the innovative collaboration of these two global communications giants.
AT&T initially downplayed its heroic efforts in the War on Terror, preferring to serve in silence behind the scenes. “But then we realized we had a PR win on our hands,” noted AT&T V.P. of Homeland Security James Croppy.

“Not only were we helping NSA cut through the cumbersome red tape of the FISA system, we were also helping our customers by handing over their e-mails and phone records to the government. Modern life is so hectic – who has time to cc the feds on every message? It’s a great example of how we anticipate our customers’ needs and act on them. And, it should be pointed out, we offered this service free of charge.”

Pres. Bush demands a law which would clear phone giants from responsibility for government’s unjustified and illegal spying on Americans

If you like Keith Olberman you will like his latest Special Comment

In a Presidency of hypocrisy; an Administration of exploitation; a labyrinth of leadership, in which every vital fact is a puzzle inside a riddle wrapped in an enigma hidden under a claim of executive privilege supervised by an idiot, this one, is surprisingly easy.
President Bush has put protecting the Telecom giants from the laws ahead of protecting you from the terrorists.
It’s bad enough, Sir, that you are demanding an ex post facto law which would clear the phone giants from responsibility for their systematic, aggressive, and blatant collaboration with your illegal and unjustified spying on Americans, under the flimsy guise of looking for any terrorists stupid enough to make a collect call or send a mass e-mail.
If you, Sir, are asking Congress, and us, to join you in this shameless, breathless, literal, textbook example of fascism; the merged efforts of government and corporations who answer to no government, you still don’t have the guts to even say the telecom companies did assist you, in your efforts?

Is anyone really surprised that Mukasey is trying to delay congressional inquiries into the CIA’s destruction of interrogation videotapes? Or that the DOJ is trying to get U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy to “stay out of the matter”
Mukasey is nothing more than another Alberto Gonzales, but this time, with some intelligence.
Back in November I wrote 2 articles, Senator Dianne Feinstein Caves In To Bush and Senator Dianne Feinstein Failed Us!, concerning Senator Dianne Feinstein capitulating to the Bush Administration and warning that the ethics, principles, and values of the DOJ under Michael Mukasey would be no different than under Alberto Gonzales.
His approval by the Senate Judiciary Committee is due solely because you abandoned your constituents, the people of California, to support him along with Senator Schumer from New York.
I sent you emails imploring you to reject the nomination of Mukasey, and your response?

Dear Mr. S……..:
Thank you for writing about Judge Michael Mukasey’s nomination as Attorney General.
After doing my due diligence and carefully reviewing Judge Mukasey’s record, I concluded that he will be a strong and independent leader of the Justice Department. I believe that if he was not confirmed, an acting Attorney General, who would not be confirmed by the Senate, would have led the Department for the remainder of the administration. The Justice Department is too important for that to happen.
Therefore, I supported Judge Mukasey’s nomination and voted to confirm him. I made a statement on the Senate floor explaining my decision which I have enclosed, along with an op-ed I wrote and op-eds from several newspapers on the importance of confirming Judge Mukasey.
Please know that I appreciate your opinion and hope that you will continue to inform me of your views. If you should have any other comments you want to share with me, or if you have a question I can answer, please feel free to contact my Washington, D.C. staff at (202) 224-3841. Best regards.
Sincerely yours,
Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

If you really had done your “due diligence” and carefully reviewed George Bush’s abysmal record for the last 6 years you would have realized that Mukasey was not nominated by Bush to uphold the law or protect the constitution. Mukaseys’ job is to protect, cover-up and conceal the illegal and unconstitutional activities of the Bush Administration.
And now you, Senator Feinstein, are part of the problem instead of part the solution.
