This is probably the only instance of the economy actually sinking with a war going on. And don't get me started on the war. The only reason for the war, it seems to me, that is logical to some extent, is that Bush wanted to divert the country's attention from his ineptness at almost everything he does. But then, he has managed to mess up in every area that he has decided to tackle as a President The agenda for any new President would be to rescue the economy, rescue the American foreign policy and restore people's trust in the White House.
