The water torture and the waterboard were introduced to the Filipinos by the Americans during the Philippine-American War, a war that history, especially American History, chooses to ignore. After the centuries of torture introduced by the Spaniards, America came to our country with novel tricks of their own.

Now you have an Attorney General who adheres to such methods against America's enemies; well, he only made it official. The United States never ceased to practice such methods. They taught these things to their supported dictators, who, in turn, did as America desired and dictated. They called it Low Intensity Conflict.

There used to be a marked difference between what America is to citizens of the United States and what it does to developing countries. Now there seems to be a fusion as they can no longer hide the hideous atrocities. If Americans knew everything that their policy makers do abroad, they would declare a National Day of Puking.

American citizens per se are wonderful people. What happens when they become politicians connected to big business interests is something else. To us, there is no difference between a Democrat or a Republican. We get the same repugnant deal with whoever is there. Its not the party affiliation; its the orientation, character, and values that is inherent in the person which should not be altered by the machinations of vested interests, greed, domination, and oppression that can be covered up by "Plausible Deniability".

Yours is a good site with plenty of good intentions. I support you. I hope there would be more Americans like you, Democrat or Republican. More power!
