If our elected officials are TRULY there to represent us you should see votes in pairs by states more often than by party. In Pennsylvania we have one Republican senator (Specter) and one Democrat (Casey). They BOTH are supposed to represent ALL of Pennsylvania, not just the party they worked with to get elected.
