Pink’s “Dear Mr. President”

September 22nd, 2007 · 5 Comments · Impeach Bush, Iraq, Surge, Videos, War

I don’t think I have ever posted any music on this site before. But there is always a first time. This video is from the group Pink and is from their new DVD Pink - Live From Wembley Arena. As Bush becomes more and more isolated from the real world, he only talks to and sees people who tell him what he wants to hear. He lives in his own little bubble, seeing what he wants to see, hearing what he wants to hear. All the while his actions are killing and maiming tens of thousands of our sons and daughters, crippling the Military for years to come because of his irresponsible actions.
$500,000: The amount the war in Iraq costs per minute, according to a new analysis by Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and Harvard’s Linda Bilmes, put out by the American Friends Service Committee. The study finds that this $720 million a day could buy homes for 6,500 families or health care for 423,529 children.
Dear Mr. President listen to this song.. it may not be relevant to you inside your little bubble world, but it is relevant to the real world WE Americans live in.

I had this video posted on my myspace page for a long time. It makes an important point and you’re right, I doubt the President would listen. Pink is just one woman rocker with a microphone. She doesn’t know what she is talking about…yeah, right.

Thanks for providing another outlet for this touching song.

No one knows what it is like to be in the shoes of The President. I get that it is right to speak out your rights and beliefs, but seriously? A little harsh, The President didn’t do all of this…and what are we doing to get rid of the hungry. Are we going out and giving our extra food to the poor, serving at the homeless kitchens ect. When we get our act together with The Presidents, I think these “lyrics” will change.

There are ALOT of people who would disagree with this song. Myself being one of them. I was just sent this song via e-mail. Pink has lost one more fan! These stars are quick to be critical. The hunger part kills me especially when they all talk about feeding the hungry in other countries and give so much money to those other countries. HELLO….then let’s complain that not enough is being done here. UUUGGGHHH!!!!!!
