We all know Bush & Company will do ANYTHING to continue the fraudulent and illegal sham that they are perpetuating on the American people. The words truth, honor, justice, integrity, and protect the Constitution have, in the Bush White House, become falsehoods, dishonesty, injustice, deceit, and betrayal of the Constitution. The only person left in the Administration that might have had even a smidgen of integrity left was Condolezza Rice. But even she has fallen to the dark side of the Force.
Some of the methods the Administration has used over the years is to use the cover of “National Security”, “National Interest” and “Executive Privilege” to hide their illegal activities and failed policies from the American people. National Security means Bush’s Security, National Interest means Bush’s interest, and Executive Privilege means Fuck off Congress. The less the people and Congress know, the better.
The latest example of the Administration trying to cover up and hide bad news from the American people comes from the State Department. The State Department thinks the Iraqi government is filled with corrupt officials who protect their own at the expense of their country including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. But they don’t want you to know they think that. The 82 page document is an assessment of Iraqi corruption that was prepared by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and marked “Sensitive but Unclassified” “Not for distribution to personnel outside of the US Embassy in Baghdad Iraq”. When Congressman Henry A. Waxman, Chairman of the COMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT AND GOVERNMENT REFORM, requested a copy of the report the State Department “suddenly and retroactively” classified the report and declined to provide it. The reason given…
“any information about corruption within the Maliki government must be treated as classified because public discussions could undermine U.S. relations with the Maliki government.”
In a letter sent to Condoleezza Rice by Congressman Waxman
“Obviously, the State Department’s position on this matter is ludicrous”.
“If there is widespread corruption within the Maliki government, this is information that both Congress and the public are entitled to know.”
Yes, if the public knew how corrupt the puppet government we have in Iraq is, we might not think too well of Bush or the Maliki government and realize that Bush has deceived us once again.
Unfortunately for the State Department the “Secret” stamp appears to have come too late as the report was obtained by Secrecy News and posted on the Federation of American Scientists web site and is now in the public domain.

Couldn’t have said it better. We need to ram that Thomas Jefferson quote down the throats of half the population of this country.
