Since my last post on this subject on December 8th several states have had their presidential caucus/primaries. There have been several more debates in which to listen to the candidates. And several have bid farewell to their run for president. Lets start with who has dropped out of the race…
- Joe Biden One of my choices
- Chris Dodd Another one of my choices
- Bill Richardson He gave it a good go but never caught on
- Duncan Hunter Who was he?
- Tom Tancredo Another who was he?
- Fred Thompson His heart was never in it. Reminds me of Dopey or Sleepy of the 7 dwarfs.
You can expect Rudy “The boy who cries wolf” Giuliani to be dropping out at any time (I hope) as even Ron Paul is beating the crap out of him.
That leaves us the following for the Republicans…
- Mike “The Preacher” Huckabee Do we really need a holy roller running this country?
- John “Bush on Steroids” McCain This guy is too old and sounds like he is suffering from the early stages of Bush dementia.
- Mitt “Slick Used Car Salesman” Romney Would you buy a used car from this guy? He will tell you whatever he thinks you want to hear, to sell his BrilCream coffered hair style, to get your vote.
And the following Democrats…
- Hillary “The Iron Maiden” Clinton Cold heart and ruthless, unless she needs to shed a tear to get the sympathy vote. If she could only keep her attack dog “Bill” on a leash.
- Barack “I have a Dream” Obama He has no experience, buts wants to run this country. That’s ok so long as you surround yourself with experienced advisers. If he would only tell us who they might be.
- John “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!!” Edwards Edwards is the overlooked candidate in the Democratic field, eclipsed by Hillary Clinton and by Barack Obama. You might give him a closer look.
I know, I know, I have left out 3 candidates that are still in the race. I think they are in a group by themselves. While none of them stand a chance, and they know it, they have stayed in the race to keep their agendas in front of the people and they each have a zealous following. Especially Ron Paul. And here are the three Musketeers…
- Ron “Athos” Paul I really like “most” of what he believes, but, but, but……
- Dennis “Porthos” Kucinich He has a nice looking wife, but It will take more than a good looking wife to fix the screwed up mess Bush is leaving
- Mike “Aramis” Gravel Forget it. This guy is a little on the strange side.
At this time I am going to have to go with Senator Obama as my choice.

I am almost ready to fill in for Michael Bloomberg. I wish he would get off the fence and either tell us the polls which he is conducting show he won’t win or he’ll join the race as a third party candidate.
I think he could contribute a lot to say. There is too much being unsaid in the debates about energy policy, terrorism, the environment, and economic recovery from the mess we are in.

You are leaning towards Obama, I am leaning towards Ron Paul, even though I don’t think he stands a shot in hell. I really think that it is too close to call and a long way off.
I think Obama changes with the wind depending on where he is campaigning.

Actually Carol, I will be voting for Ron Paul(in the primary). Here in California if you are a registered Republican, which I am, you can only vote for a Republican candidate in the primary. Ron Paul is the only Republican that is not suffering from the same dementia that Bush has.
Thanks for stopping by.

Would love to see Ron Paul on my ballot, but it’s not going to happen. The media will not give him the time of day and we all know that it’s the media darlings who will get the nods.
They fluctuate between Hillary and Barak because of the “minority is in” aspect and McCain and Romney are making a nice contrast on the other side. If you’ll note, Hucakbee has lost their attention of late as well (not that I would vote for him anyway).
If we’re stuck with Hillary and John on the ballot come November, what will we really have to choose from? You say McCain is a Bush wannabe, but I fear for Hillary’s ego which strikes me as being as big as Bush’s ever was.
God I’m depressed now!
